Screws and spacers
Gumstix now sells a pack of screws and spacers for the assembly of multiple boards together. Check the Screws & Spacers Kit for more information. Many people don't need all these parts or want many of a different blend than what gumstix has put together in a pack.
As of October 2006, worldwide products supply constraints are causing a migration of the screws provided in the "screws and spacers kit" to provide screws with Fillister heads.
Parts
For the 2 holes near the 60-pin connector
- 0-80 x 1/2" machine screws (slotted pan-head)
- #0 hex nuts
- #0 nylon washers
For the third hole that's got tight space between the SDRAM chips
- M1.0 x 6mm machine screws (slotted cheesehead)
- alternate: 00-90 Fillister head 1/4" screws and hex nuts
- M1.0 hex nuts
For spacing the boards
- 2mm black nylon spacers (connex-side daughtercards)
- 3mm black nylon spacers (basix-side daughtercards)

Casings
Gumstix has introduced a suite of tools for 3D visualization of gumstix boards. The suite uses:
- Google's SketchUp & 3D Warehouse that can be used for custom case design.
- CadSoft's Eagle software for custom expansion board design.

Other testing
Gumstix Engineering has begun the process of performing other testing, which may include vibration testing, thermal testing and MTBF information.
At this time, we have not posted any results.
